To help you upload many photos at once, we allow you to send a ZIP file with all your pictures in. Of course you still have to labouriously fill in all the details for these pictures.
To make this easier we also let you fill in all the titles, short names and so forth in a single file and then send that in. Some people find this a lot easier than stepping through dozens of individual pages to fill the pictures in one-by-one.
We currently just allow 'Tab Separated Values' (TSV) files, since most people have a spreadsheet program which will let them edit these easily and it's the simplest format to make by hand. We can add other formats if they are useful to people, so do let us know what you prefer.
