Although I guess you'll be famous one day…
Famous != Celebrity
Are you a celebrity just because you are famous? Or does celebrity status require something extra, like good looks or personality for example?
A purely abstract point.
celebrity, n:
1. A famous person.
2. Renown; fame.
It seems that everyone I meet knows who I am before I introduce myself - surely this is fame.
renown, n:
1. The state of being much known and talked of; exalted reputation derived from the extensive praise of great achievements or accomplishments; fame; celebrity; – always in a good sense.
I'm renown for my fast deterioration at the 8-10 pint stage of the evening.
I think this proves beyond all reasonable doubt that I am a celebrity. At least that's what I shall continue to tell myself.
Which way is up for this photo?
Rotating by 90 degrees clockwise is as sensible…
(Not that I would expect Dave to be able to answer that…)
Don't think it matters - I seem to remember taking that one myself. Rotate it back 90 degrees. An infinitely thin line isn't so great to look at… but it's arguably an improvement…
But did you know which way up was at the time?
I doubt it, but I probably knew which way was down. (In situations such as that, the two aren't necessarily related.)
Do you have good insurance for your flight to the keys, Dave?:)
Do you honestly think anyone would insure me!!?
